01 · Discern
Step back. Decide with discernment.
Cognitive biases, critical thinking, emotions disguised as reasoning, cognitive load, leadership and decision-making in the age of AI.
Companies, public organisations and local authorities · Training and talks
Reading helps us decide.
AI speeds up production, not judgement. We train your managers to decide, and we measure what the training achieves.
Better-equipped and calmer managers, sounder decisions, satisfied HR teams.
Cognitive science · Literature · KEI© impact assessment
What is at stake
AI has entered every part of your organisation and your managers have learned to use it. It can speed up analysis and the production of solutions, but it does not decide for them.
It helps with what it masters, and it misleads on complex tasks beyond it: those who rely on it make worse decisions (Dell’Acqua et al., 2023). The more we trust it, the less we exercise our critical thinking (Lee et al., 2025).
Leaders are not mistaken: faced with AI, they rank emotional intelligence among the three skills to develop as a priority, along with analytical judgement and flexibility (Microsoft, Work Trend Index, 2023).
It is therefore essential to cultivate what tools do not do in managers' place: stepping back in an information-saturated context, recognising a bias, confronting points of view, sensing what a situation stirs in others, deciding clearly after a group discussion. And all of this calmly, communicating well.
These are not technical skills. They are behavioural skills, and they can be trained.
We do not train people in AI.
We train them to decide, and AI has often become the context of that decision.
What we work on
Our method draws on two sources of learning:
Finally, the KEI© measures what has changed.
Céline Mas documented this conviction in La lecture pour réussir sa vie professionnelle (Dunod, 2025): a case for reading at work, grounded in cognitive science, with a foreword by Dr Céline Greco, head of department at Necker hospital in Paris.

Qualiopi-certified training organisation: in France, funding is possible through your OPCO or your skills development plan for the private sector, and through your training plan or a public contract for the public sector.
Our approach
Phase 1
Conversations with the training team, the HR team, managers, the leadership or executive committee, staff representatives or unions as needed. Psychosocial risks, quality of working life and mental health issues are included where relevant. Based on the recommendations of ANDRH (the French HR directors' association), on the Accertif network we belong to and on the Qualiopi framework.
Phase 2
Bespoke design, with participatory cases drawn from your organisation's daily life.
All stakeholders are taken into account.
Never copy and paste: we start again from your reality and your objectives.
Phase 3
Delivery of the training or talk, review meeting, impact assessment.
Our solutions can be rolled out the very next day, with owners, deadlines and indicators.
As an option, after-sales “working hours”: reserved slots for targeted, confidential video meetings after the training.
A plan that can be integrated directly into your occupational risk assessment (DUERP in France) for mental health aspects.
A set of readings dedicated to the topic, and a free book depending on the format.
An interactive, personalised fresco for each company or local authority, to understand managerial decisions and act on them as a team.
Each manager leaves with a personalised action plan: dos and don'ts, a reminder of the tools and, where relevant, a kit to pass the training on to their teams. A trained manager knows how to act the very next day, with at least two concrete actions identified during the training.
Measurement
The KEI© (Key Emotion Indicator) is an impact-assessment method applied to emotions. We measure the team's collective emotional state before the training, thirty days after, then at six months.
You receive one page: the score, the dominant emotions, before and after, based on responses anonymised at source.
It is one of your answers when your managers ask what the training achieved.
They have done it
Recently, the Discern module was chosen in 2026 by Skolae, Asobo Studio and Tarkett. Equality and non-discrimination were worked on with the City of Roubaix, emotional intelligence with Schindler and self-confidence with the Union des Marques.
We have also worked with Chanel, the Caisse des Dépôts, Make Up For Ever, Cultura, Inditex, Klépierre, Axa, Esker, Bayard, KPMG and BPCE, among others.
What they say
“It was superb. You are so relevant, accurate, clear, convincing, and funny and captivating too. The participants loved your talk.”
“I recommend this training, and above all I recommend the trainer, Céline Mas, who is extremely skilled in this field.”
Frequently asked questions
No, it is training in decision-making. AI is an important part of the context: it produces fast, it changes very quickly, and your managers' judgement has to keep up.
No. We work with short extracts, read during the session and chosen for your sector. Nobody has any compulsory reading before or after.
Love for Livres is a Qualiopi-certified training organisation. In France, the days and the learning path can be funded through your OPCO or your skills development plan; for the public sector, through your training plan or a public contract. We provide the agreement and the paperwork. Outside France, we will look at the options with you.
A team's collective emotional state and its emotional competencies, before and after, anonymously. It produces no individual results, unless specifically requested.
Yes, and it is even encouraged. The texts and situations are chosen for your sector and for what you want to change: a reorganisation, the arrival of AI in a profession, a team that no longer dares to make decisions. The module or learning path keeps its structure, the content adapts.
Let's talk
In thirty minutes, you tell us about your context. We tell you what is possible, what it costs and how to observe its effects.
If we are not the right partners, we will tell you so too, openly, and point you elsewhere if you wish.
