Support, care, education and book professionals · Love for Livres Academy
Caring through books can be learned.
Coaches, therapists, psychologists, carers, trainers or librarians: would you like to enrich your support work differently, through reading? The Love for Livres Academy teaches you to choose texts suited to your audience, to build your bibliotherapy workshops and to run them in a setting attentive to each person's words and emotions. A training course at the crossroads of literature, emotions and cognitive science.
Online content at your own pace and, depending on the path, live sessions. A course offered by a Qualiopi-certified organisation.
The English-language Academy opens in 2027. The paths described on this page are currently taught in French. Would you like to know more, or train a team in English? Book a call.
35 to 55 hours · Live masterclasses · More than 60 bibliotherapists trained
For whom
You would like to draw more on reading to open up dialogue with the people you support.
The training helps you build a workshop, from selecting the texts to running it.
The training is for coaches, therapists and psychologists who want to enrich their support work, carers and support workers, trainers and HR consultants, librarians and booksellers, teachers and educators. It also welcomes professionals changing careers.
No teaching prerequisite is required; some prior experience of supporting people is nevertheless preferable. In every case, before final enrolment we check that your project is consistent with our approach and our code of ethics.
It is not a literature course, a writing workshop or psychotherapy training. Bibliotherapy is a method of professional support, not a therapy. Discover our approach to bibliotherapy
Love for Livres offers high-quality bibliotherapy training, solid in the knowledge it provides on how the brain works, the benefits of reading and understanding emotions, but also very practical and useful for offering bibliotherapy sessions with real added value. Céline and her team listen, are available and know how to guide our thinking step by step. I recommend this training to anyone who wants to discover bibliotherapy and improve their practice.
Laurent Parisse, bibliotherapist, EmbelLIRE sa vie · 4th cohortWhat you learn
You learn from videos, practical sheets, reading lists and the Love for Livres Emotions Notebook, designed by a multidisciplinary team.
Depending on your path, masterclasses, live workshops and one-to-one sessions help you put these resources into practice, along with a community of former trainees in Europe, Canada and North Africa.

Why this training
“Books opened the world to me when I could only see a small patch of it. I have spent my life trying to understand why, with cognitive science as my compass and nearly 500 workshops as my field. Supporting people through books is a real responsibility: we wanted training that lives up to the practice. This is the training I pass on to you, with the rigour it demands and the joy it gives.”
Céline Mas, co-founder of Love for Livres, author of La lecture pour réussir sa vie professionnelle (Dunod, 2025), experienced practitioner in the neurocognitive and behavioural approach. Committed to human rights (former president of UN Women France).

A tool for your workshops
The Love for Livres literary tarot© brings together 22 fictional characters, from Don Quixote to Jo March, from Scheherazade to the Count of Monte Cristo. You draw a card to explore a question, start a discussion or discover a new book. We use it in our bibliotherapy workshops, where books open a space for sharing emotions and experiences.
Many cultural mediators already use it.
