Born in 1957 and died in 1995, Jean-Luc Lagarce was a French actor, director, troupe leader and playwright. He studied theater and philosophy and founded the Théâtre de la Roulotte in 1977. He has written numerous plays and is now one of the most widely performed contemporary authors in France.
